By taking part you will be helping to raise vital funds to enable St Teresa's Hospice to continue its work in South Durham and North Yorkshire. 

Once again we are returning to Darlington's South Park for a safe, fun and memorable walk around an accessible and fully marshalled 2.8km route.

Midnight Walk 2018 - Conditions of Entry


In the event Midnight Walk cannot take place on Friday 18th 2018, every attempt will be made to arrange a new date. Refunds will only be made in the event that:-

(i) Midnight Walk is unavoidably cancelled by the organisers (St Teresa’s Hospice).

(ii) this Agreement is cancelled by the organisers (St Teresa's Hospice) on the grounds that you have previously entered into one of our fundraising events, and failed to submit your sponsorship.


Once accepted, your place cannot be transferred to any other person. If you cannot attend Midnight Walk, you must inform the organisers in writing as soon as possible; places are not transferable for reasons of health and safety.

Entrants must be aged 11 yrs or over, on Friday 18th May 2018. An adult must accompany any entrant aged 11-16 for the duration of Midnight Walk. For groups there must be a ratio of 1 adult to 4 young people.

All participants are responsible for their own medical condition. If in any doubt about your ability to complete Midnight Walk, please consult your doctor prior to entering the event. Neither the organisers of Midnight Walk, nor our sponsors accept any liability for the health of the entrant. Disabled entrants are welcome to take part, although we ask you to please contact the organisers (01325 254321) prior to filling in this form, as some people with disabilities may not find the event feasible.

Walk It! Midnight Walk is a walking challenge; running is prohibited; any runners will be asked to leave immediately. Other forms of propulsion or transport (including wheeled footwear) are not allowed.

Walk It Sober! On NO account is alcohol to be brought into, or consumed in South Park, prior to or during Midnight Walk.

Neither the organisers, nor the sponsors have any liability in relation to Midnight Walk. The organisers and the sponsors of Midnight Walk, to the extent permitted by law, exclude liability for any loss, damage, injury, or consequential loss suffered by any entrant personally or to their property as result of their entry to or participation in this event.

Walk It, To Raise It! By taking part in Midnight Walk you are committing to raising money for St Teresa’s Hospice. You are not allowed to give your fundraising to any other charity (directly or via other fundraising websites). You are not permitted to use any of the sponsor money that you raise in relation to your entry in Midnight Walk to pay for your expenses. Not sending in any sponsorship raised from taking part in a previous event may result in the Hospice refusing to accept your entry or cancelling this Agreement. By completing the entry process you are agreeing to fully abide by the rules of Midnight Walk as they are communicated to you in advance and at the event.

By applying for a place in Midnight Walk you are entering into a contract with St Teresa’s Hospice (the Darlington & District Hospice Movement) Registered Charity No 518394

Data Protection Act: St Teresa’s Hospice processes your personal data (as defined by the Data Protection Act 1998 (the “Act”)) for the purposes of: your entry into events, keeping you informed about our charity, promotions and future events run by the Hospice, and fundraising. This may include using your photograph. Your name may also appear in press coverage of events.
